Take a Look Inside J Balvin’s Country Home ⇒ The record-breaking Colombian singer’s minimalist home in Llanogrande is an inviting change from his usual bold, unapologetic demeanour in regards to music and fashion.
“Architecture, music, fashion—they’re all forms of expression. When it comes to the places I live, I definitely take a less-is-more approach,” explains J Balvin “A house should be a place where you can rest your spirit. I’ve tried to create places that feed my soul, not my ego.”
Designed by 5 Sólidos, a Colombian firm based where he bought his home, J Balvin’s country retreat features neutral palettes, specific artwork and an overall calming environment. “We designed these places as refuges for Jose, where he can simply relax or hang out with friends. There is not a lot of visual noise.”
The home is nestled in a jungle-like landscape, featuring Japanese elements such as dark wood, linen doors and screens as well as a few Bonsai plants scattered around J Balvin‘s residence.
Outside, a small wooden deck connects the home to a swimming pool, “Water calms me down. I love being out there, especially at night, surrounded by the trees and the darkness,” J Balvin notes.
