Top Exhibitions at the Salone Del Mobile: The Main Design References

Top Exhibitions at the Salone Del Mobile: The 62nd edition of the iSaloni is about to begin, and thousands of visitors flock to the city of fashion and design every year to follow the latest design trends. The event’s layout, which includes the organization of the stands, lighting, and the corridors formed by them, has already undergone refined design. This year, artificial intelligence was used to predict the visual display of colors, shapes, and light. They bet heavily on neuroscience and project their relationship with the potential movement of the public along the stands. The intention is to guarantee public satisfaction through behavioral science and the study of emotions. In this article, we’ll look at the main highlights of the event and the most anticipated exhibitions. The LUXXU blog is keeping up to date with the world’s biggest design event.

EuroCucina is an event within Sale del Mobile that brings together manufacturers of materials, furniture, and equipment used in kitchens. A highlight of EuroCucina is Technology for the Kitchen (FTK), a space within EuroCucina for 50 selected exhibitors to present new technologies, concepts, and visions related to cooking and food preservation. The event promises to present innovations in the use of artificial intelligence in kitchen equipment, both to optimize tasks and to save energy consumption.

Salone Satellite

SaloneSatellite is an event that has been present for nearly half of Salone del Mobile’s history. Curated by top designers, it features prototypes and presentations by designers under the age of 35. Many of the prototypes presented at previous editions have gone into production, and many of the 14,000 designers who participated from 270 international design schools have become well-known names in the design world. One of the highlights of SaloneSatellite is the prize awarded to the three best projects presented at the event. All the prototypes are evaluated by juries from around the world. It’s a tour of the most pioneering use of future-oriented design. This year, it is celebrating its 25th anniversary and is showing projects from other editions in a dedicated space outside the Salone at the Triennale di Milano.

Salone Internazionale del Bagno

The Salone Internazionale del Bagno is a space dedicated exclusively to bathroom trends and innovations. Bathrooms are becoming more and more prominent in interior design projects. This change can be seen in the focus that Salone’s layout has given to the subject in this edition: the pavilions dedicated to this theme were historically placed in the background, and this year they will be in central positions. Taking place in pavilions 6 and 10, there are product exhibitions from around 200 brands presenting furniture, accessories, bathroom ceramics, heaters, taps, and bathtubs. As in recent editions, the manufacturers promise catalogs focused on new palettes and textures, using sustainable materials, and low water consumption.

S.Project, a cross-cutting area dedicated to design products as well as decorative solutions and interior decoration techniques. S.Project’s multifaceted approach distinguishes it as a multidimensional space with a diverse product portfolio, featuring products ranging from indoor to outdoor furniture, from wellness products to textiles, from lighting to acoustic solutions, from coverings to finishes. S.Project aims to highlight the most significant contemporary lines of research: the hybridization of contexts and the transition from the design of individual pieces to environmental design. At S.Project, interior decorative schemes are presented as inseparable sets, and the proposals reflect research into both ecological responsibility and the aesthetic value of the products.
