The 2018 color trends will be all about translucent glow according to Pantone’s executive Director Leatrice Eiseman
While everyone is wrapping their home decor in 2017’s color of the year – greenery – and running out of inspiration for the rest of the season, today at Luxxu Blog we decided to share with you the 2018 color trends that Pantone got to tell the world at the International + Housewares show last week.
Leatrice Eiseman aka Pantone‘s Executive Director revealed that next year’s design trends will be around pearlized and translucent glow and it makes only sense, since the human aye cannot avoid such colors.
Eiseman stated that “Metallics we know are classic, but they have really moved over into neutrals,”. Another design trend that will conquer the industry next year is the movement towards intense colors rather than pastels.
Even in fashion and design this year we can already notice the preference for lively and bright colors so it’s no surprise that next year these pallets will transform into even more cheerful shades.
Our energetic lifestyles will be transferred to our homes through intense colors as a natural application, and we couldn’t agree more, although our luxury furnishings are simply black and gold.
Ready to start using the 2018 color trends? Here is a small preview 5 palettes you can expect next year.
1 – NEBULOUS BLUE
2 – LITTLE BOY BLUE
3 – PINK PEACOCK
4 – PURPLE ORCHID
5 – FROSTED ALMOND
Hope you will start using the 2018 design trends and make a huge turn in the interior design industry with these 5 color shades. And, remember, there are still at least 3 left. We just couldn’t reveal everything at once right? See you next time!
