Alex Papachristidis is an over-the-top decorator who grew op on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. He grew surrounded by art, with the Metropolitan Museum of Art as playground when he was a child. An animal and nature lover, the decorator includes patterns and motifs in his designs.
The A-List decorator loves to play with textures, patterns, wallpapers and customized items, creating the most unique interiors.
For is own apartment, the decorator’s choices are bold layered patterns, jewel-toned furniture and exotic accents such as side tables, decorative items or wallpapers.
Papachristidis is a fan of color, exuberant shapes, mixed patterns and colorful palettes. All accentuated with the right amount of gold, the interiors are full of personality, luxury but still inviting and cozy.
On his dining room, the interior designer chose to match a vintage chandelier from the 19th century with a custom made dining table. The unique wall design is one of the decorator’s signature style!
