The Mayfair Hotel<\/strong><\/em>, home to the first Academy Awards After-party<\/strong><\/em> back in 1929 has new looks to impress anyone! Located in the\u00a0Westlake section of Los Angeles, the luxury\u00a0hotel<\/strong> <\/em>is the perfect location\u00a0for a glamorous party.<\/p>\n

This year, the Mayfair Hotel is opening its doors again, celebrating that 1920s Hollywood glamour with its renovation by designer Gulla J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong><\/em>. However it will not open in time for this year\u2019s Oscars, and its estimated that it will reopen in mid-April.<\/p>\n

\"SeeTo reimagine this old-Holywood glamour<\/strong><\/em> with a modern twist, the interior designer immersed herself in the mindset and culture of the \u201920s. Inspired by the Great Gatsby, by\u00a0F. Scott Fitzgerald, by Hemingway and Salvador Dal\u00ed, the designer brought this project to life.<\/p>\n

\"SeeTo ensure the accuracy of the updates, J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir and her team worked closely with the Los Angeles Historical Society.<\/p>\n

The designer also relied on real-life Holywood events to bring her inspiration. The result were refined ambiances full of personality and luxury details, where gold, grey and black play together beautifully.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The lobby bar features a unique sculpture name \u201cThe Mayfair Flowe\u201d. The designer says it reminds her of \u201csomething from the \u201920s\u201d<\/div>\n
