After prestigious fashion designers like John Galiano, Burberry, Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana and Kally Ellis for Alexander McQueen<\/strong><\/em> it\u2019s Karl Lagerfeld<\/strong><\/em>\u2018s turn to shine and dress the five-star hotel lobby for Christmas 2017<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

At the end of every year, the luxury hotel in London selects a different designer to decorate its iconic Christmas tree.\u00a0 Since the beginning of the project, in 2009, a lot of renowned designers have added their own personal touch to the Christmas tree.<\/p>\n

2009 \u2013 John Galiano for Dior<\/h2>\n

And the fashion designer came back in 2010 with this unique Christmas tree design<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

2011 \u2013\u00a0Alber Elbaz\u00a0for Lanvin<\/h2>\n

2016 \u2013\u00a0Sir Jony Ive\u00a0and\u00a0Marc Newson\"Claridge's\n<\/h2>\n

Last year\u2019s design was a bit unconventional with a forest setup.<\/p>\n

2017 \u2013 Karl Lagerfeld<\/h2>\n

This year the selected designer was Karl Lagerfeld<\/strong><\/em>, the creative director of the prestigious design house Chanel<\/strong><\/em>. The final result was a beautiful upside-down pine tree located in the hotel\u2019s main entrance and which was unveiled on the 22nd of November. Karl Lagerfeld<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0was delighted to take on the project as he revealed that \u201cChristmas trees are what I remember most from my happy childhood\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n
