\nDior<\/strong><\/em> unveiled the Spring\/Summer 2018 collection<\/strong><\/em> at the Rodin Museum<\/strong> <\/em>during the first day of Paris Fashion Week<\/strong><\/em>.<\/h3>\n

Dior<\/strong><\/em> presented the newest collection for Spring\/Summer 2018 and it\u2019s all very relevant. Female empowerment was a strong theme throughout the show, with a copy of\u00a0\u00a0Linda Nochlin\u2019s groundbreaking 1971 feminist essay \u2018Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists?\u2019<\/em> left on every seat.<\/p>\n

Explorations of female power have always been rather close to Dior<\/strong><\/em>, whose founder redrew the lines of femininity in the post-war era, and which has recently appointed Maria Grazia Chiuri as the first female creative director.<\/p>\n

See below some of the amazing looks from the Dior catwalk<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

An all-black look, in the sophisticated and elegant style Dior<\/strong><\/em> has shown us over the course of the 70 years the design house has been one of the biggest names in haute-couture<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

This is not the first time that Chiuri has created a feminist T-shirt. This year\u2019s show had a bunch of them, from the one in the image to one with a \u00a0Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie quote \u201cwe should all be feminists\u201d.<\/p>\n

The show had a second big influence, the artist Niki de Saint Phalle, whose aesthetic was\u00a0 also featured heavily, with motifs based on her brightcoloredred sculptures and mirror mosaics echoing throughout the collection.<\/p>\n

There was a lot here that felt a bit\u00a0Beetlejuice, including checkerboard prints on coats and bags and black and white striped knee-high socks and hot pants trimmed with Christian Dior branding, that were visible under the pretty tulle dresses that have become Grazia Chiuri\u2019s Dior calling card.<\/p>\n

\"Paris<\/p>\n

The final ensembles in Dior<\/strong><\/em>\u2018s 80-piece spring\/summer collection were a range of sequined dresses in pink, red, blue, orange and yellow-green.<\/p>\n
