Ken Fulk partners with de Gournay for this year\u2019s edition of Kips Bay Decorator Show House to create an \u201cAnimal Dinner Party\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

If you never heard of\u00a0Kips Bay Decorator Show House<\/strong><\/em> you have no idea what you have been missing. This annual design event<\/strong> <\/em>invites the world\u2019s best interior designers<\/strong> <\/em>together to transform a luxurious Manhattan apartment into an exhibition for high-end furniture designs<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is probably the dream come true for any design<\/strong><\/em> enthusiast, since it enables visitors the opportunity to get to know the latest trends and collections from top brands in the market.<\/p>\n

And what happens when two talented designers come together in a partnership? Only great things. This year a collaboration between Ken Fulk<\/strong> <\/em>and de Gournay\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>for example,\u00a0<\/em>resulted in an exotic \u201cAnimal Dinner Party\u201d<\/strong><\/em>. Yes you\u2019ve heard me.<\/p>\n

\"Interior<\/p>\n

The interior design project\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>resembles a fictional tale created by Fulk called \u201cMadame\u2019s Magical Menagerie\u201d<\/strong><\/em>, on which exotic animals escaped from the zoo and found Madam F\u2019s stunning backyard, where they stayed and made her famous dinner parties even more bright than ever.<\/p>\n

\"Interior<\/p>\n

The theme features around 30 wall pannels that together tell the story. Each one of them were hand painted and took 150 hours by de Gournay<\/strong><\/em>\u2018s artisans.<\/p>\n

The opulent, bright interior features monkeys, penguins, flamings and plenty of vegetation that goes along sharp, high-end craftsmanship<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

According to the designers, the goal was to recreate a childlike wonder from the 1960\u2019s, where poets, artists, philosophers could gather and find inspiration. To be honest, it couldn\u2019t be more perfect.<\/p>\n
