Christian Dior \u2018s exhibition at Mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratifs in Paris featured historic gowns!<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

The beautiful city of Paris<\/strong><\/em> is and will continue to be one of the ultimate destinations for fashion<\/strong> <\/em>and luxury design<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. This month for example, the city experienced not only the\u00a0Haute Couture Fashion Week <\/strong><\/em>but also an outstanding exhibition by none other than Christian\u00a0<\/strong>D<\/em>ior<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"Luxury<\/a><\/p>\n

The internationally known fashion brand<\/strong><\/em>, held an exhibition at the Mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratifs<\/strong><\/em>, which spread out over 3,000 square meters. And it was definitely not another exhibition that celebrates a famous designer, I mean it included over 300 of the brand\u2019s finest dresses!<\/p>\n

\"Luxury<\/a><\/p>\n

The goal was to celebrate Dior<\/strong><\/em>\u2018s 17th anniversary presenting the brand\u2019s most impressive works and gowns to visitors. Curated by Florence M\u00fcller<\/strong><\/em>, the exhibition featured the best works of John Galliano<\/strong><\/em>, Raf Simons<\/strong><\/em> and Maria Grazia Chiuri, <\/strong><\/em>aka Dior <\/strong><\/em>at its finest.<\/p>\n

\"Luxury<\/a><\/p>\n

Starting with a classic red gown from 1947 that showed off a wasp-waist and pleated skirt, the exhibition does a throwback to a time when the hourglass figures were in vogue.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Gowns and inspirational tales and Renaissance paintings<\/strong><\/em> were displayed throughout the space to accompany the artistic gowns.<\/p>\n

Other interesting effects on display include private letters, accessories, tools and never-before-seen designs<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dior\u2019<\/strong><\/em>s exhibition has four different settings, each one with their own theme and concept. The ultimate show stopper is the Hall of Mirrors<\/strong><\/em>, that represented a hall found at Palais de Versailles <\/strong><\/em>to celebrate the evolution of\u00a0French Fashion<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

For fans of red carpet stunners, the exhibition has a gallery, that it aptly dubs the \u201cDior Ballroom\u201d, dedicated to gowns worn by Hollywood\u2019s elite.<\/p>\n

Some pieces that are rich in history include the that donned by\u00a0Elizabeth Taylor<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0to the 1961 Academy Awards.<\/p>\n
