Renovating and redecorating<\/strong><\/em> an old house is not an easy thing. Most homeowners need the help of architects and interior designers. But the owner of this 1883 Georgian Townhouse<\/strong><\/em>, Lauren Buxbaum has worked alongside\u00a0Nate Berkus<\/a><\/strong><\/em> for almost 15 years and had all the tools she needed for her solo project.<\/p>\n

Buxbaum and her husband renovated the kitchen and bathrooms and once they settled in, Buxbaum redecorated each room with her personal style. She incorporated antiques with custom pieces that suited her family\u2019s lifestyle. Lauren stayed away from trendy colors and chose a timeless color palette<\/strong><\/em> with luxury details<\/strong><\/em> popping out everywhere.<\/p>\n

The family room has an eclectic mix of shapes and styles featuring a light fixture from the \u201970s and a mustard velvet armchair in the center of the room that complements the eye-catching bookshelves.<\/p>\n

The fully renovated kitchen features floor to ceiling tiling and Carrara\u00a0marble countertops. The gold accents<\/strong> <\/em>and the lamps add the perfect amount of luxury.<\/p>\n

Her formal living room is filled with antique pieces. Each of them has a memory attached and when inserted in a curated ambience they can add great character to a room.<\/p>\n

The master bedroom has a neutral color\u00a0palette complimented by warm bronze shades and black and brass accents<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For her daughter\u2019s nursery, Buxbaum wanted to go for a sophisticated yet fun setting, opting for displaying all of her stuffed animals, a lush green wallpaper, and a vintage chandelier<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The house went from a four-bedroom to a three-bedroom as one of the bedrooms was turned into a glamorous closet. Gold accents<\/strong><\/em> and the crystal chandelier<\/strong><\/em><\/a> fill the room with luxury.<\/p>\n
