Celia Sawyer\u2019s Hollywood Hills Home<\/em><\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n

One such project<\/a><\/span><\/strong> was for a high-profile client with a home in Hollywood, Los Angeles, that was 16,000 square feet and was built in the 1990s and had elevated views of the Hollywood Hills. The original house, which was purchased for its views, is very square and has a boring interior design<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. The customer booked Celia\u2019s design services and gave her team complete creative control over the restyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary goals of Celia\u2019s design were to increase the room\u2019s invitingness, add personality and warmth, and soften the sharp edges. She said, \u201cI wanted to create a style throughout that had great flow but was also very textural and stylish.\u201d The client can use the dining room<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and lounge area in the main living area<\/a><\/span><\/strong> for entertaining and leisure activities. The interior had to enhance the stunning views from the elevated windows and blend in with the surroundings. The inclusion of a self-play piano and the ideal setting for entertaining and spending quality time<\/a><\/span><\/strong> with family.<\/p>\n\n\n

The idea behind the piano (The Solis) as an art piece fit into the space perfectly, so I just knew it would be the \u201cStar piece\u201d of the design when I first saw it. I believed it required a separate platform to be displayed (and played) on, and the space could gracefully accommodate something of this size and design shape. Celia says. The Solis, created by Goldfinch for bespoke<\/a><\/span><\/strong> piano manufacturer Edelweiss in the UK, was inspired by the sun setting over the California desert. The Solis is a statement piece that seamlessly combines music and art with its curved shape and liquid metal veneer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was also using a lot of bronze tones, and textural warm materials, like lots of marble mixed with soft velvets, and great shapes in the room<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, and the Solis took the hard edge off of the interior space,\u2019 Celia continues about the color scheme used in the design<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. Celia is a leading figure in the interior sector as a judge for The International Property Awards and The International Hotel Awards. She chose to include the Solis because of its distinctive design and well-established reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI like working with dependable suppliers who deliver on time, and I know the quality is good, but I always look for new ideas to incorporate into my designs,\u201d the author says. Celia says. The interior\u2019s classic appeal<\/a><\/span><\/strong> while retaining the uniqueness and flair of great design is what stands out most about the design. Since my clients really want their designs to be timeless<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and not go out of style in a year, I don\u2019t follow too many trends when creating them. I always caution the public against trying to be too trendy; instead, choose the simpler, smaller items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As far-flung as Brussels, Barbados, and India are among Celia\u2019s clients, and the team has several residential renovations<\/a><\/span><\/strong> scheduled for 2022. \u201cIf I could use a piano in every project, I would. They are beautiful instruments, and the Solis is different in that it is designed in a way that will really catch people\u2019s attention.\u201d Celia Sawyer.<\/p>\n\n\n
