Hogwarts comes to mind when we think of Harry Potter, and the great hall comes to mind when we think of Hogwarts. It is the scene of several significant events throughout the story, with long tables<\/a><\/span><\/strong> accommodating the students from the various houses. The school of witchcraft and wizardry has the ideal lighting<\/a><\/span><\/strong> thanks to the countless candles that float on the magical ceiling. The great hall was tastefully decorated for the Halloween feast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gryffindor Common Room<\/h3>\n\n\n

The Gryffindor common room<\/a><\/span><\/strong> is concealed behind the painting of The Fat Lady and is likely the second most well-known spot inside the castle. The room is warmly furnished<\/a><\/span><\/strong> with scarlet tapestries and numerous portraits of ancient wizards. One of its key components is the fireplace, which is linked to the Floo Network and enables students to move from the common area to other locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chamber of Secrets, one of Hogwarts\u2019 most terrifying locations, is connected to even more terrifying incidents and a creature that has long haunted our nightmares. A long, snake-side corridor led to a dimly lit room with Salazar Slytherin\u2019s face painted on the wall. The absence of any lighting fixtures<\/a><\/span><\/strong> adds to the room\u2019s ominous vibe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hagrid\u2019s Hut<\/h3>\n\n\n

One of our favorite characters was Hagrid, and his home was one of our favorites as well. There was only one room inside, according to the book where we are first introduced to this location. A huge bed<\/a><\/span><\/strong> with a patchwork quilt on top stood in the corner, along with hams and pheasants hanging from the ceiling and a copper kettle boiling on the open fire. It was a tiny hut with a lot of character and distinctiveness that was very easy to relate to its owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor McGonagall\u2019s Classroom<\/h3>\n\n\n

Who can forget the famous scene where Professor McGonagall transforms from a cat to a human? My favorite classroom was the old Transfiguration one because it brought back so many memories. It was described as large, having four rows of three desks<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, space for cages and bookcases<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, and is surrounded by windows that let in a lot of natural light. Standing at the far end of the room was McGonagall\u2019s desk, lit by numerous candlesticks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Umbridge\u2019s Office<\/h3>\n\n\n

We all despised Professor Umbridge, but reading this article wouldn\u2019t be complete without a look at her cat-adorned, iconic pink office. It hurt us all to see a room<\/a><\/span><\/strong> that had once belonged to a professor who was a fan favorite, like Professor Lupin, undergo such a radical and kitsch redesign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Headmaster\u2019s Office<\/h3>\n\n\n

The Headmaster\u2019s office was a large, elliptical space with numerous windows and a large number of portraits of previous Headmasters and Headmistresses. One of the most enigmatic and magical rooms in the entire castle, it was home to some iconic items like the Sorting Hat, the Pensive, and Dumbledore\u2019s beloved phoenix, Fawkes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry Of Magic<\/h3>\n\n\n

One of the most tragic incidents in the Harry Potter series took place at the Ministry of Magic\u2019s headquarters. On level 8, its most well-known room<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, the Atrium, featured a sizable hall with fireplaces that served as witches\u2019 and wizards\u2019 entryways. The ceiling was peacock blue, and the floor was polished black wood with golden symbols moving across it. The Fountain of Magical Brethren was located halfway along the Atrium. A group of golden statues spewed water into the watery area, including those of a wizard, witch, centaur, goblin, and house-elf. At the end of the Atrium, there is a security booth and a set of golden gates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place<\/h3>\n\n\n

Number Twelve at Grimmauld Place, which served as the ancestral home of the illustrious Black family, the Order of the Phoenix had its headquarters<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. The home\u2019s interior has a heavy, ominous aesthetic. The famous tapestry of the Black family tree could be found in the drawing room shown in the image above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most adored places in the Harry Potter universe is the Weasleys\u2019 home. Family get-togethers took place in the kitchen<\/a><\/span><\/strong> of the house. It was decorated with a large wooden table<\/a><\/span><\/strong> that could accommodate the entire Weasley family, mismatched chairs, and lamp-like suspensions and was situated at the back of the house with access to the gardens. The renowned Weasley clock, which kept track of each person\u2019s whereabouts individually, was also located there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malfoy Manor<\/h3>\n\n\n

The Malfoy Manor was a stunning but dark home encircled by grounds with a fountain. A pipe organ, 30-foot ceilings, and a long table where Death Eaters and Voldemort himself congregated for meetings were all mentioned in the description of the drawing room. The elaborate marble mantelpiece and the two chandeliers<\/a><\/span><\/strong> that hang in the middle of the room are the decor features that stand out the most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Number 4 Privet Drive<\/h3>\n\n\n

It all started at number 4 Privet Drive. It was the address of the Dursleys\u2019 home, where Harry first resided in the fabled stairwell cabinet before being moved to a bedroom<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. Although the house was said to be spotless, Harry could hardly fit in the tiny cupboard because it was crawling with spiders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
