The worldwide design organization Ventura, in collaboration with the local association Centrale District, has curated and powered projects in the area, which are dispersed over the key sections of Centrale Railway Station and the surrounding area of Repubblica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tortona Design District<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Although Tortona is the name of a single street, the festivities in its surrounding neighborhood \u2013 specifically the one behind the Navigli, famed for its \u201cvibey\u201d atmosphere \u2013 expand during the Fuorisalone. Former warehouses and factories transformed into a big showcase platform with a host of futuristic, creative, and experimental events aimed at creating a genuinely knockout effect, according to the organizers. Big names and up-and-comers collaborate to establish an urban design workshop. Tortona\u2019s Design Week features a variety of activities held at some of the city\u2019s most prestigious hotels<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and newly acclaimed public areas. The SUPERSTUDIO, an iconic design location in Milan and the district\u2019s pioneer of the Fuorisalone phenomenon, has been the most visited and sought-after location in the Tortona District since 2000. Superstudio continues to pursue its aim of quality, excellence, and research with the SUPER DESIGN SHOW project, which follows the original structure of \u201cless fair, more museum.\u201d The next installment of Gisella Borioli\u2019s project with Giulio Cappellini follows the traditional ONLY THE BEST mission, with a focus on the TECH&GREEN theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 Vie Art Design District<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The district, appropriately termed 5vie after the \u201cfive streets\u201d that make up the region, is both one of the city\u2019s oldest and most emerging districts. The region includes the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, the Basilica of Sant\u2019Ambrogio, and the church of San Satiro, all of which were designed by Bramante. The area participates in Design Week with a triple circuit consisting of showrooms<\/a><\/span><\/strong> displaying the latest in design, old artisan workshops where you can admire traditional handicrafts (especially in via San Maurillio and via Santa Marta), and a cultural itinerary consisting of museums, churches, cloisters, archaeological sites, and breathtaking inner courtyards. Milan\u2019s Old Town is being promoted through a cultural and territorial marketing effort called 5vie District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
