The function of libraries in the lives of contemporary communities is likely to be redefined for the twenty-first century after they were long seen largely as storage<\/a><\/span><\/strong> for books and periodicals. The House of Wisdom sees the library as a communal center for learning, aided by technology and creativity. The structure, which commemorates Sharjah\u2019s designation as the 2019 UNESCO World Book Capital, houses<\/a><\/span><\/strong> a new publishing and research institution that aims to serve as the impetus for a new cultural sector in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RCC Headquarters in Ekaterinburg, the firm\u2019s first office building in Russia, reimagines the classic cellular office to set new quality, comfort, and flexibility criteria. The 15-story structure\u2019s innovative modular office<\/a><\/span><\/strong> units are housed in an energy-efficient container that acts as a distinguishing symbol for the corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a 30-meter diameter dome that is a contemporary<\/a><\/span><\/strong> interpretation of the geodesic dome, using minimal material to contain the maximum space, Apple Marina Bay Sands is intended to have a striking presence on the bay. It\u2019s envisioned as a translucent bubble in the water, and its texture and location allude to the sister pavilion. It\u2019s completely glazed, with a black glass base, and it\u2019s connected to the mainland only by a short bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ICD Brookfield Place is a mixed-use office<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and retail development in Dubai<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u2018s International Financial Centre region (DIFC). The mixed-use development features a 53-story tower with world-class workspaces placed within an urban setting that celebrates its position while also making a positive impact on the surrounding neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
