The London-based designer<\/a><\/strong> is perhaps best known for combining Scandinavian design<\/strong> features with a family-friendly aesthetic, resulting in rather refreshing interiors. After working closely for years with design<\/a><\/strong> giant, Nicky Haslam, Heuman<\/strong> opened up her own design studio where they take a fully immersive approach.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Her designs have a playful nature, nevertheless, her attention to detail is uncanny. The future promises to be even brighter for Heuman and her studio<\/strong> as in the upcoming year, a book<\/a><\/strong> will be written about her bespoke interiors<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Inspiration is drawn from myriad sources, both past, and present, and all projects feature a broad range of bespoke<\/a> <\/strong>pieces. This has, in turn, formed the basis of Heuman\u2019s growing collection of fabrics, wallpapers, lighting<\/a><\/strong>, and furniture. The collection is produced by small, independent Swedish, British or Italian makers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Aside from residential work, the studio has designed a number of commercial spaces including three of Farm Girl Cafe\u2019s London<\/a><\/strong> outposts, as well as a surreal, Egyptian Revival-themed space for the VIP lounge at 2018\u2019s Decorex International and an auction catalog<\/a><\/strong> and set for Christie\u2019s.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Born and raised in Sweden, Heuman<\/strong> worked for Nicky Haslam for nine years before setting up the studio in 2013.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n
