Emily Mackie<\/strong> of Inspired Interiors<\/strong> is the expert behind this stunning project. The interior designer<\/strong> paired inherited pieces with modern designs<\/strong> creating timeless ambiances filled with modern, yet classic, touches.<\/p>\n

Emily\u2019s clients approached her with a very unique request \u2013 they wanted the interior designer to par their inherited pieces with modern classics and combine their existing furniture into their new house located in Ravenswood<\/strong>, Chicago. Searching for the best pieces to incorporate the clients\u2019 home, the interior designer traveled to Paris to the renowned Maison et Objet<\/strong> where she found Italian and Portuguese brands<\/strong> that have long been known for their high-quality craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

When decorating this house Mackie faced a big challenge \u2013 which was to create intimacy in the large scale space the home features. That was the case for the dining room, a large room with high ceilings that were offset by the towering candlesticks and the chandeliers from LUXXU<\/strong><\/a>. The long dining table from Imaestri was the perfect choice to fill the space, while the blue accents added richness to the interior.<\/p>\n

For the interior designer, learning about each piece of furniture or home d\u00e9cor and its story is a way of enhancing the beauty of a room. Emily truly believes that a piece is elevated from ordinary to extraordinary when the piece is crafted by an artisan.<\/p>\n

The living room has a soft, yet luxurious, atmosphere, where custom furniture, modern designs, and textured details play together. Several styles and different shapes add depth to the design of this stunning space!<\/p>\n

The house is definitely an eclectic mix of styles, with rooms decorated in mid-century modern style as the living room above. The clients already owned much of the furniture that was combined with new additions, making a statement.<\/p>\n
