\nMilan Design Week 2019<\/strong><\/em> is almost here! With so many happening all over the city, you\u2019ll need a guide for the best events in Milan in the week that celebrates all things design!<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Between 8-14 April<\/strong> Milan will be celebrating design with the city\u2019s annual Milan Design Week<\/strong>. The most important event in the world of design\u00a0is defined by two events \u2013 Salone del Mobile<\/strong> (or iSaloni) and Fuorisalone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fuorisalone is a set of events distributed across Milan. Salone del Mobile, which happens in Rho Fiera is only one of the events and the driving force of all the event. However, the event has so much more to it: art installations, design districts<\/strong>, galleries, pop-up stores, showrooms, exhibitions and all sorts of things that you can expect in an event that celebrates design in the city of design!<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at the best events during Milan Design Week<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The opening of Bredaquaranta\u2019s Showroom<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"Milan<\/p>\n

Set to open on the 11th of April at 6 pm with a casual opening party, this showroom is a new location of one of the most important showrooms in Milan<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

XXII Triennale di Milano<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"Milan<\/p>\n

TheXXII International Exhibition of La Triennale di Milano<\/a>\u00a0is happening from the 1st of March until the 1st of September. The full title of the exhibition is\u00a0Broken Nature: Design Takes on Human Survival<\/em><\/a>, and is being curated by Paola Antonelli.<\/p>\n

AQUA. Leonardo\u2019s Vision<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"Milan<\/p>\n

From the 6th to 14th April,\u00a0<\/strong>the\u00a0Conca dell\u2019Incoronata will be featuring a special initiative for onlookers.\u00a0The Conca will be fully covered with an architectural insert in the form of a great expanse of water. On the edge of the same expense, a huge LED screen will become a window that will show a \u201cfuture\u201d version of Milan, showing a skyline that changes according to the time of day. Going inside of the canal itself visitors will be experiencing an interactive experience enfolded in image and sound through the use of\u00a0cutting-edge technology.<\/p>\n

Breeze of Light<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"Milan<\/p>\n

Daikin presents \u201cBreeze of Light\u201d, an art installation created by Nendo through its flexible concept. According to Daikin, this installation will evoke\u00a0the sensation of a comfortable breeze obtained through the movement of light and shadows, without the use of air for the effect.\u00a0Oki Sato himself has explained that the main purpose of Breeze of Light is to make the participants \u201cfeel wind by the variance in shadow intensity\u201d.<\/p>\n

Superstudio<\/h2>\n

One of Tortona\u2019s biggest showcases during Milan Design Week welcomes over 100.000 registered visitors every year.\u00a0Over the course of the years during Milan Design Week, this event has seen some of the best brands and designers participating, including\u00a0\u00a0Moooi<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Tom Dixon<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Nendo<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Foscarini<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Paola Navone<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t miss this wonderful exhibition at\u00a0Superstudio Pi\u00f9, via Tortona 27, Milan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ro Plastic Prize<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This year marks the launching of the first edition of the contest\u00a0Ro Plastic Prize<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. This challenge to young designers has been divided into five distinct categories (Design, Home Textiles, Packaging Solutions, and Conscious\u00a0Innovation Projects) all of which have the main goal of providing sustainable design solutions to help the environment.<\/p>\n

Meet and interview\u00a0designers\u00a0Marcel Wanders and Gabriele Chiave<\/strong><\/h2>\n
