The Pantone Color of The Year 2020 has been announced! The most awaited announcement in the world of color is here and we couldn’t be more excited!
Every year, during the first weeks of December, the Pantone Color Institute releases the Color of the Year for the following year. This year’s announcement has been made today and we are loving it!
Classic Blue is the choice for 2020. Described by Pantone as a “timeless and enduring blue hue” which is “elegant in its simplicity”. The choice for the color resonates from the current-day need of peace and tranquility, which are feelings long associated with shades of blue.
The Pantone 19-4052 TCX, aka Classic Blue, is an elegant and simple tone. As its name suggests is a classic color that everyone can easily like, as blue is a ”universal favorite”.
Even though it has nothing to do with last year’s choice, Living Coral, it’s also a color found in nature, particularly in the sky. However, it’s more related to the sky at dusk than it is to the sky at midnight.
How to add Classic Blue into your life?
A few days ago we wrote an article on kitchen trends which included blue kitchens, if you’re a fan of the shade and were thinking about a kitchen remodel consider painting it with this beautiful blue hue.
If not in the kitchen any other room of the house would look stunning, particularly the bedroom(s), the office or living room as it is a color that inspires peace and serinity.
As the color of the year, you can also expect to find all sorts of things in this color – accessories, clothing, jewels, home décor and all types of objects.
What about color combinations?
This beautiful shade of blue luckily matches many colors and allows for the creation of stunning color palettes that will impress you! Pantone has created those but you can let your creativity flow and create your own!
