LUXXU Empire Awards: The Cascais Project by Hold | Margô Luxury Architecture Redefines Silent Luxury
Within the first edition of the Empire Awards, LUXXU proudly presents the Cascais Project, an exclusive creation by the duo Hold | Margô Luxury Architecture. This luxury residence, designed between nature and contemporary architecture, embodies the essence of silent elegance, a form of luxury that is felt rather than shown. For this project, architects Hold Beiró and Margô Araújo envisioned a space where every detail reflects the harmony between Portuguese craftsmanship, the sophistication of international design, and the timelessness of LUXXU’s pieces. The result is a work that elevates the concept of “architectural living” to a new level.

The Vision of Hold | Margô Luxury Architecture

With consolidated experience across Portugal, Brazil, and Switzerland, Hold | Margô Luxury Architecture develops projects that combine emotion, memory, and identity. In the Cascais Project, the duo sought to celebrate the symbiosis between contemporary architecture and the surrounding natural landscape. The selection of LUXXU pieces was decisive as symbols of sophistication, balance, and timelessness. Wood, stone, vegetation, and natural light coexist with the shine of polished metal and the softness of refined fabrics.
Living Room: The Sophisticated Heart of the Residence
The living room of the Cascais Project is the meeting point between comfort, art, and design. The Thomson Sofa, custom-made, stands at the center of the composition, spacious, elegant, and unmistakably distinctive. In perfect harmony, the Liberty Suspension Lamp radiates a majestic glow over the space, while the Liberty II Wall Lamp and the Pharo I Table Lamp complete the setting with warm and refined light. The shelving unit, inspired by LUXXU’s iconic Lloyd, was reinterpreted by the architects as an architectural element, reinforcing the room’s visual identity.

Dining Room: Sculptural Elegance with an Atlantic Soul
Inspired by the residence’s privileged seaside location, the dining room is a tribute to the fluidity of the waves and the solidity of stone. The centerpiece is the Algerone Dining Set, whose marble tabletop showcases the perfect balance between strength and sophistication. Above it, the Liwave Suspension Lamp floats like a luminous sculpture, evoking the movement of the tides. The Darian Sideboard, customized in a satin camel tone, reflects sandy nuances and dialogues with the Crackle Mirror, a piece that symbolizes the organic forms of nature.

The Staircase: A Scene of Light and Movement
A central element of the project, the staircase is more than a connection between floors; it is an artistic installation in itself. The Draycott II Wall Lamp marks the path with rhythm and elegance, while the Liwave Chandelier crowns the stairwell with crystals that reflect the purity of water and the fluidity of space. This fusion between architecture and lighting embodies LUXXU’s DNA: pieces that inspire and transform the environment.
